The Walking Dead season 9 spoilers: Star teases MAJOR …

The Walking Dead season nine is currently on its mid-season break, and fans are looking forward to seeing it return this February.

There have been quite a few notable exits from the show already this season: Rick Grimes (played by Andrew Lincoln) and Jesus (Tom Payne) come directly to mind.

However, theres a rumour that a former character could return to the show.

Fans might be a bit surprised by this since the character did die on screen, and it was a pretty memorable death.

Michael Cudlitz was speaking at Wizard World New Orleans alongside his fellow former cast members Tom Payne, Austin Amelio, Cailey Fleming, Mo Collins, Kirk Acevedo, Jenna Elfman and Ross Marquand.

While there the actor teased: Who knows, maybe therell be flashbacks?

I guess on your guys show, there were some tapes that were shown and one of the tapes said Abe-slash-Doctor, which would be Abraham Ford and Doctor Eugene Porter according to [creator] Robert Kirkman, so they could certainly go down that road.

Not saying they said anything about it or not, but probably not, so I think well stop talking about that. Never mind.

Abrahams death will go down in The Walking Dead history as one of the most shocking and gruesome deaths ever seen on the show.

This is from a show which is littered with gruesome deaths, yet Abrahams will hold a special place in most fans hearts.

He was killed by Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), who used his bat, Lucille, to bash his head it and it was a very unpleasant moment indeed.

Michael did return to the show, but as a director, not an actor, and the episode he directed, Stradivarius, was quite well received.

Michael also revealed to audiences what he really thought of Ricks exit, and it wasnt all positive.

Lets be real clear, if he was gonna kill anyone other than me and I had a choice, it would be Rick, Cudlitz said, according to ComicBook.com.

Because how many more people was that ahole gonna get killed?

It is true that Rick did lead many people to their deaths in the show and Michael was keen to point out this fact.

However, it did seem as though the longer the show went on, the more trouble he got his group of survivors into, and they quickly started dropping off like flies.

Michael continued: Hey, I got a plan, lets show up to where all the Saviors are with 500 weapons, have them step 15 feet out into the balcony unarmed, and shoot the windows out above his head. You all know that sucked [...] It was like the A-Team showed up."

Michael was referring to a particular scene when his group had a huge battle with Negans in an episode called All Out War.

The Walking Dead season nine continues tonight on AMC and tonight at 9pm Monday on FOX in the UK. Seasons 1-8 are available to stream on NOW TV.
