The Walking Dead: Virgil carries an important piece of information – Undead Walking

As we close in on The Walking Dead premiere of season 11, there are many things to consider. Since this is the final season, no doubt characters will die, some stories may not have a resolution and Virgil, who, from what we know, isnt trustworthy but holds a piece of vital information.

Virgil (Kevin Carroll) first appeared in season10 when he saved Luke from some walkers in a library. He was then caught sneaking into the Oceanside community, and that didnt go well. Eventually, he makes a deal with Michonne to trade weapons with her in exchange for his return to his family.

This situation goes south quickly, with many fans worried that Michonne would die in this episode, as it was her final appearance in the series. Luckily, viewers didnt have to witness her demise; instead, she discovered some information that would alter her journey.

On Virgils island, Michonne discovers Rick didnt die in the bridge explosion as everyone thought. She found his boots and an old mobile phone with an etching that was obviously her and Judith. This gives her hope of finding her love and she sets off to do just that.

At this point, it was thought that would be the last we would see of Virgil. But, in 1016, A Certain Doom, we see Virgil has arrived back at Oceanside, only to find it abandoned. He locates a horse and discovers Connie, who Daryl and Kelly have been searching for since the cave-in.

Fans cheered to finally have a confirmation that Connie is alive and well, although exhausted. This will be a wonderful reunion when she is reunited with her sister and all of her new family.

Virgil will look like a hero has he brings Connie back to her family, but what about the other news he carries? Virgil knows about Rick. He most likely has met him and had conversations with him since some of his possessions were found on the island where Virgil lived.

If he tells them what he knows, could this be the news that sets Carol and Daryl off on their own, which would segway to their spinoff?

The Walking Dead returns to AMC on August 22 with the premiere of season 11.

AMC+ members will be able to stream this episode on August 19.
