The Walking Deads Aaron actor reveals true motives behind alliance with Gamma after plan to destroy horde b – The Sun

AARON appeared to land his friends in hot water at the end of The Walking Deads midseason finale.

After striking up a relationship with Gamma, who found herself disenfranchised from The Whisperers after discovering Alpha had lied about Lydia being alive, it appeared Aaron had a solid lead about the location of the zombie horde theyd been threatened with.

In exchange for access to her niece, who lives in Alexandria, Gamma told Aaron where they could find the walkers, giving the group a chance to take them out before they can be used against them.

However, when they arrived at the site there were no undead to be seen instead, Carol spotted Alpha staring them down through the woods.

As they group attempted to chase her down they find themselves stuck inside a subterranean trap, surrounded by walkers.

The question is did Gamma lead them astray, or was Alpha just in the right place at the right time?

Aaron actor Ross Marquand told Entertainment Weekly that his character still has faith that Gamma didnt deceive them.

Aaron trusts Gamma about the location of the horde because shes risked a lot to meet him on a regular basis, he explained.

I think the desire to engage with Gamma is twofold. One, I think Aaron has the ability to seek out good people in the world, and he does see the goodness in Gamma. He kind of can sense it.

And she seems like a very reluctant participant in Alphas tribe. The other part of it is that Aaron really wants to get information from her.

Meanwhile actress Thora Birch agreed that Gamma was indeed desperate to see her niece and her desire for a family wasnt a bluff.

She added: I also think she feels a slight responsibility to Alexandria at that point and wants to give them the best shot of getting the situation under control, if they can.

Elsewhere, Daryl actor Norman Reedus left one of his co-stars sobbing on set with poignant child abuse confession.

Meanwhile Siddiq actor Avi Nash called on fans of the zombie TV show to remember "s**t happens" and not to get too wound up over plot lines.

The Walking Dead returns to FOX on February 24 and is available to stream on NOW TV.
