Rochester teen charged with conspiracy to commit murder out of jail – Goshen News

ROCHESTER Both teenagers arrested on conspiracy to commit murder charges are now out of jail.

Donald Robin Jr., 18, of Rochester, has been released from the Fulton County Jail on a $50,000 bond under specific terms and conditions of the Pretrial Release Program. His next Fulton County Circuit Court date is 1:30 p.m. Oct. 19, when he must appear for a pretrial conference.

Robin, along with John Schultz IV, also 18 and of Rochester, face Level 2 felony charges of conspiracy to commit murder and Level 6 felony charges of intimidation.

The teenagers were picked up on warrants the first of August. According to Rochester Police Department Lt. Detective Matthew Campbell, evidence had mounted over several months that showed a potential threat that the two teens were planning a school shooting.

According to police reports, a search warrant that encompassed July 15, 2018 to July 15, 2020, and covered both Robins and Schultzs Facebook pages, revealed numerous messages that depicted a desire to carry out a murder-suicide plot. Their posts specifically discussed shooting people within the Fulton County School system, including Caston High School and Rochester Middle School. They exchanged photographs of weapons, with Robin stating in one Facebook post that I am a psycopath [sic], and Id love to be a murderer.

Schultz stated in a post that he was serious about the plan to commit murder. We are gonna do it. [I] wanna shoot up a school with him, referring to Robin.

Rochester Police reports revealed that Schultz and Robin eventually became more explicit with their plan. Robin stated in a post that his desire was that I want everyone dead at Caston High School and Rochester High School.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Robin stated that since Caston High School was in the middle of nowhere it would take 10 minutes for SWAT teams to arrive and another 10 minutes to figure out what was going on. Robin stated he would kill the security guard and then start shooting people who were walking through the halls, then walk into every individual classroom and start firing and killing as many people as he could and eventually go through every room possible.

Schultz was released from jail last month, also on a $50,000 bond under the Pretrial Release Program. He faces two additional counts of possession of methamphetamine and possession of a narcotic drug. Schultz must be back in Judge Christopher Lees Fulton Circuit Court at 1:30 p.m Oct. 26 for a pretrial conference.

Robin faces two additional counts of possession of a syringe and possession of marijuana.

Their jury trials are slated for 8:30 a.m. Jan. 26, 2021, in Fulton County Circuit Court.

The conspiracy to commit murder charge carries a 10- to 30-year prison sentence, while the intimidation charge carries 6 months to 2 years behind bars. Both carry fines up to $10,000.
