Jason Brickman's reunion with Sam Deguara worked wonders inside the Filoil Flying V Centre, Tuesday as San Miguel Alab Pilipinas exacted revenge on erstwhile league-leading Mono Vampire, 96-73.

Brickman stuffed the stat sheet with eight points, 10 assists, and eight rebounds while Deguara towered over the competition with a 20-marker, 10-board double-double in the Filipinos' third consecutive victory following a loss to open the 2019-2020 Asean Basketball League.

The Filipino-American playmaker and the Maltese giant proved to be thorns on the side of their former team which suffered its first setback following three wins in a row to start the season.

Still, the Vampire were well within striking distance, just down four, 54-58, in the third before Brickman propelled the Philippines to what turned out to be a pivotal 9-2 push as well as a 67-56 lead late in the quarter.

The home team would only mount a lead as big as 28 as it levelled its season series with Thailand's team at 1-all.

American reinforcement Nick King also added 24 points, five rebounds, three assists, and three steals for red-hot Alab.

For Mono, Tyler Lamb and Mike Singletary fronted the effort with 22 and 17 points, respectively.
