Paul Wesley is pretty candid about The Vampire Diaries.

The actor was on Watch What Happens Live and took questions about the series, including whether he would like to see his character revived on the spinoff Legacies.

I actually had requested that he die because he did a lot of bad things and I felt like he deserved death, Wesley revealed.

He was also asked whether he felt there was a point the series may have jumped the shark.

Yes, he says, explaining that it happened wheneveryone was a supernatural being.

Wesley added, What the hell? There needs to be some humans, were in the real world!Everyone in the whole town was a mystical creature. I feel like it should have been 50/50.

Wesley also revealed that he had his own ideas about how The Vampire Diaries should have ended.

I thinkI honestly think both brothers should have died, he said. And I feel good about [the ending] although I would have liked that we both died and that Elenathe girl at the end of the showlike, all her memory was wiped and went to live a normal life and forgot that we ever existed. I think that would have been nice.
