Star Wars legend Mark Hamill took fangs and a dagger from the What We Do In The Shadows set – Digital Spy

Star Wars legend Mark Hamill made a cameo to remember in the second season of What We Do in the Shadows, so it's only right that he got to take away a couple of mementos.

In episode six, titled 'On The Run', Hamill plays Jim the Vampire, an old enemy of Matt Berry's Laszlo Cravensworth who returns with a score to settle.

As a far more traditional, albeit suitably whacky vampire, Hamill gives one of the performances of the season, enhanced even further by his regal costume.

Appreciating his blood-sucking clobber, one fan on Twitter recently asked Hamill himself if he was allowed to keep his rather decadent belt.

"Sorry, but no," he said in response, but he didn't leave the set empty-handed. "They did let me keep my fangs & the dagger."

That should come in handy for scaring off kids whenever he can't be bothered to do the whole 'May the Force be with you' thing.

Hamill has been making a habit of popping up for cameos lately, but you'd be forgiven for missing his most recent one in The Mandalorian.

In the fifth episode of the Disney+ series, where we're taken back to that familiar Mos Eisley cantina on Tatooine, the actor actually provides the voice to the droid bartender.

In an episode of Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian, show creator Jon Favreau revealed that the droid's name is EV-9D9, and that he was previously seen torturing other droids in Return of the Jedi.

He's come a long way since then.

The Mandalorian, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and the entire Skywalker Saga are available on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K now, as well as on Disney+, while Rise of Skywalker is also on Sky Cinema Premiere and NOW TV. What We Do in the Shadows is available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
