The Icelandic Gay Vampire Movie THIRST Acquired by LevelK – GeekTyrant

LevelK has acquired the Icelandic gay vampire movie Thirst, which was directed by Gaukur lfarsson and Steinr Hrar Steinrsson.

The film takes place in a small town where evil is lurking around and strange crimes and brutality frequently occur. The story follows Hulda, a woman who is suspected of being responsible for the death of her brother, Steindi, and is being investigated by the police. After being released from custody due to insufficient evidence, she has nowhere to turn to. Lingering around in the cold, she befriends an elderly man who turns out to be a 1,000-year old, single and gay vampire who brings her brother to life, leading to terrible consequences.

The marketing for the film seems to make a big deal about the vampire being gay, so I assume theres something about that that has a major tie to the story. LevelKs CEO and managing director Tine Klint, said in a statement:

Thirst is totally unexpected, and one of the most entertaining and lively in-house screeningsLevelKhas ever had!

The film stars Hjrtur Svar Steinason and features cameos from well-known Icelandic actors, including Ingvar E. Sigurdsson (Everest, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald), Halldra Geirharsdttir (Woman at War) and lafa Hrnn Jnsdttir (Black Mirror).

The film will make its world premiere at the Nordic Film Market of theGoteborgFilm Festival.
