Katerina is one of the villains of the show, but the audience adored her and the style she rocked. Katerina's outfits went from old fashion, hand made and puffy dresses to modern sexy and edgy ones.

Even though Elena Gilbert was Katerina's doppelganger they had nothing in common. It is also noticeable that the costumes Katerina wore on the show were also connected with the period she lived in. Here are some details that you probably did not notice about "Katherine's" costume.

After Katerina was kicked out of her house by her father for bringing shame to her family, she was homeless and could not afford to own expensive and good quality dresses. That is why in the beginning in 1490 in Bulgaria we see her as a girl that wears simple and plain dresses but thriving to reach the top of the high society.

The rising of Katerina started when she becomes a vampire and when she met the original vampire Elijah. She wore a stunning green, long dress topped with some hand made necklace and earrings.That is when we finally see Katerina in something more suitable for her.

From the first time Katerina was introduced to the Salvadore household and the two brothers Stefan and Damon Salvadore, she was breathtaking. Sinceshe would become wealthierand a member of high-class society, shewould have to dress properly. Katerina's dresses were made out of expensive silk and lace that was brought to her from the other end of the world.

That was a period where dresses were long, with patterns and a tight corset. Everyone that saw Katerina wearing those hand made dresses could not take their eyes away from her beauty.

Katerina loved wearing short, black dresses topped with black lace and pared with her famous dark blue and silver necklace, that protected her from the sun. For thismasquerade party, Katerina, of course, wore a black mask that suited her dress.

It is well known that Katerina pretended to be Elena numerous times and that meant that she had to wear her clothes. If we compare both of them no questions asked Katerina was the one with a better style.

Just like everyone else sometimes Katerina also had a fashion miss, which happened quite rare. As most of the time, she wore a black leather jacket paired witha not so good looking black shirt. Katerina had better moments than this.

The long sleeves make the dress even more elegant and suitable for her body type. Looking stunning, sexy, and on point as always. By now we all know that Katerine is a pure lover of the color black, especially we see that after she becomes a vampire.

Last but not least we have Katerine in this amazing beige puffy dress that looks absolutely perfect on her. We can notice some purple details on it, the V-shaped neckline, and the puffy sleeves that make it quite unique for that period of time. Katerina as we know she always wears jewelry and here she decided to go with a necklace and some earrings. Plus her dress goes perfectly with Stefan's suit, both of them in beige and white.
