Even with tons of fan support, the series below will likely never get full adaptations, since some would have to completely redo parts of the anime.

Much popular shonen series never finished telling their stories, or if they did, they used original content to do so. Even with tons of fan support to this day, the series below will likely never get full adaptations, especially since some would have to completely redo parts of the anime.

Rosario + Vampire was so popular that it got its own manga box set that is still selling well years later. The series followed a young boy, Tsukune, who accidentally got admitted to the wrong school and ended up following in love with a vampire named Moka.

While the first season followed the books to a degree, the second season did a poor job at adapting the source material. After the second season aired, there was never a mention of a third, even though fan support was high.

Soul Eater is infamous for the anime making up its own final arc that completely diverged from the manga. Not only did it have an anime-only ending, but it missed out on some important plot points from the manga.

One reason for the anime-only ending was that at the time it was airing, the series was still ongoing. The anime finished airing in 2009 while the books didn't finish publishing until 2013, but no interest was expressed in finishing the story.

Kakegurui is another anime that had a well-received first season, but a second season that didn't seem to captivate as many fans. This was partially due to the lack of a proper simulcast and Netflix owning the rights to the series.
