10 Ways Being A Vampire In Elder Scrolls Is Better Than In Twilight – TheGamer

Is being a vampire in the Elder Scrolls universe better than being one in Twilight? Here are 10 reasons why we think it is!

Being a vampire can come with some pretty sweet perks, especially if you are playing The Elder Scrolls Skyrim. Not only do you become much stronger and get some unique abilities, but there is a whole DLC based around vampires. In comparison, vampires from the series, Twilight, are a bit less cool.

In fact, Edward just doesn't seem to have many of the great abilities that vampires in the region of Skyrim do. In celebration of vampires starting to trend again thanks to the newest book in the series, below are ten ways that being a vampire in Elder Scrolls is much better than in Twilight.

The first thing you will notice if you play as a vampire for long enough is that you don't sparkle in the sunlight. In fact, if you don't feed for enough time, then the sun slowly starts to burn you, and the longer you go without feeding, the faster it kills you.

While this may sound like a downside, if you forget to feed, at least you don't look like a disco ball when you walk out into the middle of town.

Edward and his friends seem to have a lot of trouble with not murdering any human they feast on. In Skyrim, you can simply walk into a house and feed without killing or even waking up your victim.

You can even freely have a spouse and use them as a food source without having to worry about any consequences. The Cullens have to struggle to not drink their partners dry.

You will get the ability to see in the dark as a vampire, which is helpful for just prowling around at night in general. Nightvision is perfect for players who love the night aesthetic and want an upper hand in dark dungeons.

Seeing in the dark is pretty useful when you're trying to loot tons of treasure. Just think of how nice it would be to be able to see no matter what time of day it is.

As a vampire in Skyrim, you don't have to worry about the cold. In fact, you are completely resistant to any frost spells and most likely can't even get frozen in a block of ice, This can be really useful when taking on Ice Wraiths.

Frost resistance is great when you're surrounded by frigid mountains.

Another great perk of being a vampire is the ability to become invisible. This can be used at just about any time and allows you to become the ultimate thief. Becoming a vampire is one of the easiest ways to get this ability.

You never see any of the Cullens able to do something this cool.

On top of having tons of powers for yourself, you are also given the ability to raise the dead. You can kill a villager and then use your power to raise them as your servant. Once raised, they will follow you around and help you fight.

This is great to use when you run into bandits or have to kill a guard.

Since your a vampire, you are naturally more appealing to your prey. The humans around Skyrim are easier to seduce as a vampire which can help you get your way. Being given a charming appearance can certainly have its perks.

Just think of all the free sweet rolls you could get by charming a whole town at once.

You can use your powers to literally drain the life from your opponent. This special spell allows you to simatonusly deal damage and then use the damage dealt to restore your health.

This vicious spell is a fun way to wiittle down enemies and can be especially helpful if you need to suck some health from wolves.

The Vampire Lord actually have wings, while you don't get to fly around, this opens up new possibilities. More than likely, Vampire Lords enjoy flying all around the world and don't have to spend days trekking to a new town.

Having wings is something that the Cullens also don't possess. While Edward can run pretty fast, that still isn't anywhere close to the freedom of flight.

Despite the fact you are a vampire, not everyone is trying to kill you. In fact, some actions will only net you a small bounty of just 25 gold. The world knows about vampires, and while they don't exactly like them, they don't always hunt them down.

This may be due to the fact that vampires have learned to completely blend in to society and, if threatened, could simply turn invisible to walk away from the situation.
