5 best shows to watch this weekend for fans of feminists and vampires – FanSided

This weeks TV power rankings feature vampires, feminists and cannibals. Heres what to watch this weekend.

First things first, I dont feel like enough people heard me last week.

WATCH RUN. ITS SO GOOD. THE PACE IS LIGHTNING-FAST. THE CHEMISTRY IS CRACKLING. MERRITT WEVER AND DOMNHALL GLEESON ARE ACES.

Anyways, onto the matter at hand: What to watch this weekend.

For fans of:Bachelor in Paradise, American Idol

Where to watch:ABC or Hulu

Listen, Im not happy about this either, but the new Bachelor show is actually so good. The Bach spin-off that will at some point turn into doubles American Idol is unexpectedly pure and (relative) equal numbers men and women is really the franchises best form. There are plenty of likable characters, love triangles galore and copious opportunity for corny lyric quotations.

For fans of:Chaos

Where to watch: CBS, FuboTV

If you have ever watched Survivoror are even vaguely familiar with its concept, you need to be watching this season, specifically this seasons tribal councils. I dont care if you skip the first 40 minutes of every episode, everyone loses their minds whenever its time to vote someone off and its honestly amazing.

For fans of:Killing Eve, an uncomfortable affinity/affection/attraction to bona fide monsters

Where to watch:Amazon Prime

This isnt really related to anything timely but Ian Thomas Malone wrote a really great story on Hannibal as part Redo Week on FanSided.com and its an excellent reminder/occasion to watch/rewatchthe Mads Mikkelsen x Hugh Dancy masterpiece.

For fans of:Vampires, cult comedians

Where to watch:FX and Hulu

FXs What We Do in the Shadowsshould be a bigger deal than it is. The TV spin-off of Taika Waititis cult classic film takes the day-in-the-life mockumentary premise and transposes it to New Jersey with a new cast of vampires (Matt Berry, Kayvan Novak, Natasia Demetriou), but the same vampire ennui and roommate hijinks.

The first season was a bizarre, absurd,laugh-out-loud funny delight and the second, which premiered this week, appears to keep that energy very much up Colin Robinson be damned.

For fans of:Strong female leads, a 70s soundtrack

Where to watch: FX on Hulu

Mrs. Americais easily the no. 1 new FOMO show. Everyone is talking about (or subtweeting) the FX limited series about the movement to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment and the conservative opposition from Phyllis Schlafly. From the cast Cate Blanchett! Rose Byrne! Sarah Paulson! Niecy Nash! to the treatment of Schlafly and the conflict within the feminist movement, its already a divisive show and passions are only going to get more heated as we move into award season.

Youre going to want to watch because youre going to want nay, need! to have an opinion.
