Nina Dobrev's fame rose to greater heights when she was casted as Elena Gilbert in The Vampire Diaries.She has been vocal about working on the CW show and despite leaving after season six, came back to guest star in the eighth and final season.

She has mentionedthat she wanted to leave the show, but absolutely loved her character Elena. From time to time on Instagram, Nina shared throwback photos of her time working behind the scenes, and also admitted she loved being "attacked."

Thankfully, Nina wasn't harmed by anyone while on The Vampire Diaries, but when action involves her character getting attacked, that is definitely one positive memory to look back on. For the show's budget, the makeup effects are just outstanding.

Her fans, as usual, miss the show so much and continue to watch it from time to time. They miss the on and offscreen romance between her and Ian Somerhalder.
