Redfall has you hunting vampires with a Stake Launcher and UV Beam – TrueAchievements

Bethesda first gave us a breakdown of the "top things you need to know" about Redfall now, we've got a guide to customisation for the game.Redfall arms us with "unique vampire hunting weapons"We'll use Skill Points (which you get through main and side missions) to upgrade skills, with Bethesda using the example of "Laylas psychic umbrella shield and Jacobs raven scout," as well as more general hero attributes.

Art director Karen Segars adds, There have been several challenges with making this game, but one is how we take our love of systemic gameplay and the various ways to upgrade your character and apply that to co-op... Being able to use your powers and tools in interesting combinations and then layering those with other players with different powers and tools makes for even more fun and unexpected ways to approach the world of Redfall. This should apparently also help in situations where everybody wants to play as the same character, as each person choosing to upgrade that character's powers and weapons in different ways should result in a different experience for everyone.

Then we've got our weapons, which range from the more mundane shotguns and sniper rifles to weapons targeted specifically at eliminating vampires, such as the Stake Launcher and the UV Beam. Interestingly, we'll apparently notice "a more militaristic edge" to the weapons we find around the island, leading us to investigate what such weapons were doing on Redfall in the first place.

Since Redfall and Starfield were both delayed, we can now expect the vampire-hunting game in the first half of 2023, but we could see it even sooner Xbox is bringing "updates on announced games" to Gamescom 2022. What do you think of what we've seen of Redfall so far? Let us know in the comments!
