Resident Evil Village: Who Tall Vampire Lady Is Talking To On The Phone – Screen Rant

Lady Dimitrescu has already developed quite a fan following with Resident Evil Village, but based on the trailer she may not be the only villain.

Resident Evil Village has already won over fans of the franchise, and not just because it looks like a faithful sequel to the horror franchise. Fans have fallen in love, so to speak, with one character in particular, affectionately nicknamed Tall Vampire Lady.

The character's real name isLady Dimitrescu, and so far she seems to be the primary antagonist of Resident Evil Village. However, one shot in the latest trailer shows Lady Dimitrescu reporting to someone on the phone, who could be the real mastermind behind everything.

There's still a lot that's unknown about the plot of Resident Evil Village, but there's clearly more going on underneath the surface. Here's who Lady Dimitrescu is talking to on the phone.

Lady Dimitrescu addresses the person on the phone as Mother Miranda, as she reports that Ethan Winters has infiltrated her mansion and bested her daughters. Mother Miranda is a brand new character that hasn't been mentioned until now, but it definitely seems like Lady Dimitrescu is under her command. Now the title of Mother could refer to Miranda bein Dimitrescu's actual biological mother, however, it's far more likely that it's a formal title associated with some kind of religion or cult.

During the phone call, Dimitrescu also says that Ethan has already beaten her brother Heinrich, who could be the bearded man with sunglasses that appears at the end of the most recent trailer. All of this suggests that Resident Evil Village will have a situation similar to what happened with the Baker family in Resident Evil 7, with Ethan taking on a group of villains one-by-one. The mansion of Lady Dimitrescu will probably be an entire section of the game, while other areas of the village will feature the other villains.

Resident Evil Village seems to be taking inspiration from the franchise's most popular entry, Resident Evil 4. For one, the attache case from the classic game makes a return in Village, along with the secluded European village setting. With that in mind, Mother Miranda could fill a role similar toFatherBitores Mendez, the hulking village elder of Resident Evil 4. Right now it's hard to say exactly what's going on in Resident Evil Village, especially with the key art that seemingly features Chris Redfield turning into a werewolf. However, fans can get a taste of things with The Maiden demo currently available on PS5.

Resident Evil Village launches on May 7, 2021, for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
