The Vampire Diaries: 5 Characters To Invite Over For The Holidays (& 5 Who Would Be Terrible Guests) – Screen Rant

If everyone had the opportunity to celebrate the holidays in Mystic Falls, which Vampire Diaries characters would make great or terrible guests?

Now that the holiday season is finally upon everyone again, it is unfortunately an unusual year where most people won't be able to celebrate with friends and family. However, the fact that everyone can't celebrate together doesn't mean that there's nothing worth celebrating, and instead of just fantasizing about the loved ones that everyone could have happy holidays with, why not let those fantasies run a little bit wilder and include TV or movie characters in the imaginary guest list?

So, with that idea in mind, what fictional characters from The Vampire Diaries would make the best holiday guests, and who should be left off the invite list?

When it comes to having a pleasant holiday in Mystic Falls, clearly Bonnie Bennett is the ideal guest to invite to any party. She's nice, she's charming, she's not prone to emotional outbursts or committing murder on the fly.

But what makes Bonnie really the cream of the crop when it comes to good party guests is that she's pretty much the most powerful witch on the planet, so if things get too rowdy she can keep them under control.

Kai Parker is the kind of person who makes a party memorable for all of the wrong reasons.

Clearly, his social skills were severely lacking even before he spent years in isolation, but now he's awkward enough that he'd probably make a miserable party guest even if it weren't for the fact that he's a homicidal maniac. Add in the fact that he's liable to rack up a body count at any party, he's best left off the guest list.

Matt Donovan may not be the most interesting or unique guest to have at any holiday celebration, however he is a perfect seat filler for many reasons.

He's easygoing, friendly, and can have a conversation with anyone, and now that he's actually a pretty significant mover and shaker on the Mystic Falls political scene, it's worth inviting him for the potential town clout alone.
