Twilight: The Worst Thing About Each Main Character, Ranked – Screen Rant

TheTwilightseries was by far one of the most popular and successful young adult fantasy series ever. This romantic tale of vampires, werewolves, and a love triangle had many fans. While the books and movies have been out for a while now, there are still many fans of the series, and even people who arent fans anymore still have strong opinions about the story.

The main characters from Twilight all have their strengths and weaknesses, but there were definitely some things about each of them that were kind of the worst.

Esme might be the mother figure of the Cullen family, but she hardly contributes anything. If she didnt exist at all, nothing about the books or plot would change.

She had no personality, and she wasnt special or unique in any standout way which made her the least memorable member of the family. Its unfortunate she wasnt given a more interesting storyline.

Charlie clearly cares deeply about Bella, but hes not always the most effective or involved parent. He clearly wasnt that involved in Bellas life for many years and doesn't know exactly what hes doing.

While he does care for Bellas well-being, he let himself remain ignorant of many things even when Bella clearly was struggling.

Emmett is another one of the Cullen family who isnt particularly important to the plot or the story. While he can be rather outgoing and funny, he is more of a background member.

His special power might be that hes super strong, but he definitely didnt take things seriously enough. He could be too flippant about the dangers the Cullens faced.

Jasper is an interesting character from Twilight because he does have such a dark past. He also has the unique ability of being able to influence others emotions. While he might be a good person deep down, he did do a lot of bad things in his past and killed and ate a lot of people.

He was the main Cullen family member who still had a lot of things to make up for.

Carlisle is a character that many fans loved because he is so benevolent and good. He is the vampire that really showed the path for other vampires to not murder humans.

Hes skilled and caring, but he sometimes should be a bit more involved. When it came to Bellas situation, he should have intervened more considering she was only a teenager when she met Edward.

Rosalie was always resistant to Bella joining the family, but given her past, it does make sense why she was a bit cold. However, once Bella and Renesmee, she became extremely attached to the baby in an uncomfortable way.

It did seem like she wanted nothing more than to raise Renesmee. She clearly cared more about Renesmee than Bella and didnt much care about what happened to Bella at all

Alice is by far one of the most loved characters of the series.

Many fans adore her because she is so outgoing, charming, and lovable. While shes a good character with a good heart, if not a bit eccentric, she could get a little too involved at times in Bella and Edwards relationships even if she did mean well.

Jacob might be an interesting character who starts out very likable, but he has a lot of issues such as the fact he can be too quick to anger. However, the worst thing he ever does is imprint on a baby.

The blame clearly lies with Stephenie Meyer here for coming up with such a creepy concept, but this doesnt change the fact that its super uncomfortable and ruined Jacobs character.

Edward might at first seem like a dream come true as hes an old soul and a romantic who happens to a gorgeous vampire, but hes also kind of a bad boyfriend.

He can be really controlling of Bella, and while he might claim its for her safety, he definitely crosses the line at times and creates an unhealthy dynamic. He needed to respect Bella more and let her make her own choices.

Bella is a character that doesnt have much personality, and there are many valid feminist critiques of how she comes across. One of the most obnoxious things about her and the way she was written is that shes always such a damsel in need of rescuing.

She cant even go to a town big enough to have a bookstore without needing to be rescued from one of her love interests.
