V-Warsis a Netflix Original science-fiction horror series by author Jonathan Maberry. William Laurin and Glenn Davis are the creative mind behind the series, they both are serving on the writing team and also as producers ofV-Wars. The series involves Ian Somerhalder, an ex-cast member of the popular CW seriesVampireDiaries. Somerhalder was also an ex-cast member of the Supermanorigin seriesSmallville, along with Laura Vandervoort and Adrian Holmes.

A mysterious disease starts changing people into vampires, Dr. Luther Swann is pitted against his best friend, who is now a powerful vampire leader.

It is now over a year after filming ended before V-Wars arrived on Netflix. Filming took place from the 15th of May to October 22nd of 2018.

It can take a long time to return to Netflix as earlier but assuming the worst and it does, if filming were to begin today, it wouldnt end until June 2020 and that would push the release date to August 2021.

Ian Somerhalder will return to the world of blood-sucking predators as Dr. Luther Swann, with Adrian Holmes as vampiric best friend Michael Fayne. Should they survive a vampire bite or stake through the heart in season one, Peter Outerbridge, Laura Vandervoort, and Kyle Breitkopf may also return.

Season 2 of V-Wars will presumably continue to adapt to the V Wars comics. Will the series follows the second comic anthology V Wars: Blood and Fire, then an uneasy peace created between humans and vampires will be shattered.
