Netflix released the hot new Vampires Season 1 recently in late March 2020. We can expect a second season in the later months of 2021. As the first season ended with a big cliffhanger, we are sure this series will get a second season.

The cast of season 1 might return for the second season as well. We can expect to see Oulaya Amara, Suzanne Clment, Kate Moran, Mounir Amara, Aliocha Schneider and Juliette Cardinski return. Pierre Lottin, Dylan Robert, Bilel Chegrani, Antonia Buresi, Marilu Marini and Ayumi Roux may also reprise their supporting roles. Some characters may also appear in cameos as flashbacks only.

Netflix provides the following description on its official website

A Paris teen whos half-human, half-vampire grapples with her emerging powers and family turmoil as shes pursued by a secret vampire community.

In this alternate universe, a mutated gene results in the birth of vampires. The halfling Doina has repressed her vampire gene, thanks to her fathers medication. But once she goes off the meds and has a taste of human blood, there is no going back for her.

On the other hand, due to her human gene, she can walk in the sun while being able to drink blood and wild a vampires strength. This makes her highly valuable in the dangerous vampire underground communities. Keeping up with her age, she also skips from lover to lover, both humans and vampires. This adds to the notion of notoriety to her name. By the end of season 1, we see her human father turning into a villainous vampire.

The franchise is too young to feed our expectations. But with a huge number of people quarantined at home, streaming Netflix, we hope the show reached its maximum viewership potential. Only then we can hope for a renewal.
