There are plenty of other horror creatures that the show could draw upon for laughs. The world that Laszlo, Nandor and Nadja inhabit features a really deep roster of different ghoulish characters from this scary genre. It would be interesting to see how the show runners bring these well known characters into their own wacky universe.

Leprechauns have been a known myth for some time. They have also been used within horror franchises before, as some kind of demonic creatures. What We Do In The Shadowsare sure to give them their own twist.

The most famous film depicting this creature,Leprechaun, saw the monster sport the traditional green clothing associated with Ireland, but with a monstrous face and dangerous behaviour.

Mummies have been a fascination for modern mythology thanks to the ancient Egyptian tradition of preserving and embalming the dead. This morbid interest in death has turned the Mummy into a horror symbol.

Famously the creature has been depicted inThe Mummyfranchise, although there's plenty of other horror series that see the dusty bandages of the undead haunt innocent victims.

Asides from the many Vampire films and TV shows, there's one monster that has arguably had equal coverage. Frankenstein's monster has been around for generations.

Inspired by the Mary Shelley classic, this beast made of other human parts is certainly haunting but can also be used in a comedic manner. It's extremely likely that one of these monsters could feature in the future.

Usually linked to mad scientists like Dr Frankenstein, Igor is a hunchback with a hateful personality and a willingness to help their master do their evil bidding.

An Igor would felt into this universe well, as there's already human helpers that attend to the Vampires. It wouldn't be surprising to see a different set of creatures have Igors to help them out.

TheCreature From The Black Lagoonis a reptilian like monster who often lives in marshlands and large bodies of water. It's rare to see this monster on land.

It would be a really interesting confrontation if these Vampires come across the creature. It would likely be on a late night trip to an evil lagoon, in some kind of monstrous vacation.

Another popular horror icon from H.G. Wells is the Invisible Man. The character really could have been a part of the show the whole time, but the characters won't know until now.

One of the differences between the show and the film is that the series can have ongoing jokes like this. It would be great to have the reveal therefore that they have always had an extra house mate.

Slender Man might not be in the public domain but he has somehow already worked into the human consciousness thanks to the terrifying design of the character, as well as the success of the video game.

While an unsuccessful film has been made about the character, this is a monster that even the Vampires would be freaked out by, creating a compelling and quite different conflict for the group.

Trolls have been in the fantasy genre for many years and there's been countless variations on this very basic design. Whether it's smaller version like goblins, or even pop culture references like Gremlins.

Whether they take larger or smaller forms, somewhere in the wild there must be a society of Trolls that the Vampires usually avoid until they have to confront them. It would definitely be a fun project for the practical effects department of the show.

The Minotaur hails from Greek mythology but has surpassed this origin and has now become a horror monster unto itself. The Minotaur is perhaps so terrifying because of its desire to hunt down its prey.

The concept that any maze could have one of these beasts in is certainly a terrifying thought. There's bound to be a situation where the trio get caught in some kind of trap and have to talk down this impressive monster.

The Headless Man has taken on a few variations, but is usually seen riding a black horse and occasionally with a pumpkin head. He's a character that has found a place in many fantasy and horror franchises.

This Headless Rider could be some kind of sheriff for the land that the Vampires live in. There must be some kind of mythology law and order keepers and it feels like this character is the perfect monster to fill that role.
