10 ounces of meth, more than $51K in cash seized during NW Georgia bust, cops say – Atlanta Journal Constitution

A drug bust in northwest Georgia yielded nearly 10 ounces of methamphetamine, more than $51,000 in cash and other drug-related items, authorities said.

Deputies arrested Christopher Lee Pack on several felonies in connection with the bust, which took place Wednesday and Thursday, the Murray County Sheriffs Office said. He is a felon who was on probation at the time of the arrest, investigators said.

Deputies recovered 9.8 ounces of meth, a handgun, two digital scales, medical syringes and the large sum of cash, the release said. Pack faces four meth trafficking and drug-related charges in addition to two firearm-related charges.

Pack, born in 1980, has served three prison sentences since 2006, totaling more than a decade behind bars, according to Georgia Department of Corrections records.

His prior convictions are all in Murray County and include counts of aggravated assault, trafficking meth, DUI and fleeing police, GDC records show.

Pack was booked into the Murray County Jail, where he remains. AJC.com has reached out to the sheriffs office to request his mug shot.
