CAMERON Damon Lee Wilson, 39, of 18976 N.C. 27 West, Cameron, transitioned into eternal rest from natural causes 3:27 p.m. Friday at his home.

He was a resident of the area for most of his life. He was born Feb. 4, 1981, in Jamestown, New York, a son of Margie Sue Toomer (Hallett) and Steven M. Wilson. Damon was a graduate of Western Harnett High School and he loved painting cars, automotive work, his lifelong friends and his dogs.

Damon was preceded in death by his father, Steven Wilson; grandfather, Claude Hallett; grandma, Wilma Hallett; uncle, Gregory Hallett; grandfather and grandmother, Richard Milliman and Cindy Groves.

Surviving are his mother, Margie Toomer; two sisters, Nichole Wilson and Latoya Toomer Metzli; stepfather, Christopher McDougald; brother-in-law, Tommy Willingham; a niece Nina Willingham and a nephew, Tyler Willingham, all of whom are residents of Cameron.

Others left to cherish his memories are Claudia Cleveland, Eric (Sonya) Ribbett and Lee (Dawn) Milliman, Barbra Hallett, Vicki Wilson and Barry Groves, all residents of Randolph, New York; several cousins; and a special friend of many years, Samantha Freeman of Cameron.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of his family.
