Good Morning Britain hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid were left red-faced when a photo of who they believed to be Britt Ekland aired but it wasnt her.

The Bond Girl appeared on the breakfast show to talk about her acting and the upcoming James Bond film.

However, it turns out there was a slight error as to who was in the picture introducing Britt, 77.

Brit alerted the hosts to the error before the show went live that the photo was not of her but of another Swedish actress.

Susanna addressed the photo, which remained on the screen throughout the segment, said: Weve just made a faux pas on the programme.

Piers, whose fans came out to support him recently, began: We have a massive star Britt Ekland, a Bond Girl, superstar, everything else, and what do we do?

You couldnt mix her up with anyone, could you? added Susanna, to which Piers continued: Apart from another Swedish actress, apparently weve got up there. I mean, who is it?

Apparently, this is someone you get mixed up with quite a bit? Susanna asked Britt.

The film star responded: She went to a Bond premiere and they said, This is Britt Ekland, but of course it wasnt me because I wasnt there.

Fortunately, Britt didnt seem to mind the mix-up as she joked along with the hosts.

She admitted it didnt bother her and said: Everyone knows what I look like.

Britt starred in many British crime films, including 1971s Get Carter starring Michael Caine and 1973s The Wicker Man.

However, it was her role as Goodnight in 1974s The Man with the Golden Gun that she is best known for.

She starred alongside the late Roger Moore in the hit Bond flick with acting legend Christopher Lee portraying Francisco Scaramanga.
