Man gets 32-years-to-life in prison for first degree murder – Action News Now

SHASTA COUNTY, Calif. - A man was sentenced to 32-years-to-life in prison after being found guilty for first-degree murder Monday, the Shasta County District Attorney said.

Frank Alexander Berry was sentenced to prison for the murder of Anna Coker in 2018.

The location of the sentencing was moved for additional seating as Cokers family gave statements about the impact on their life after her death.

Berry was suspected of killer Coker, who was his girlfriend at the time and burning her body in Lassen National Forest.

The beautiful light shown by Anna Coker is now blocked from the lives of my children by the shadow of this perpetrator's inequity," Eric Coker, Anna's son, said. "The absence of my mothers presence in their lives is the most abhorrent consequence of this convicts calculated actions.

"My mom taught me how to love. She taught me to live life to its fullest (and then some)," said Anna's son, Christopher Lee Coker. My mom taught me how to love.
