Brandy Michelle Parratt and Christopher Lee Rawls were united in marriage on January 1, 2021 at three oclock in the afternoon on the fountain terrace of the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, NV.

A cocktail reception proceeded, followed by a black-tie wedding reception with cocktails, dinner and dancing in the majestic Monet Ballroom of the Bellagio Hotel.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Garrold Parratt of Richmond, Texas. Escorted by her father, the bride wore a traditional ball gown of lace-appliqued tulle.

The ivory gown also featured pearl and crystal beading, which gave a soft glow to the scalloped bodice and A-line skirt, as classic buttons adorned the sheer illusion back and sweeping train, paired with Swarovski crystal-embellished ivory shoes. To compliment her gown, the bride chose a handmade embroidered light ivory cathedral veil, edged with lace and beading and wore her grandmothers amethyst ring.

The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet composed of dark red roses and white hydrangeas.

Serving as her Matron of Honor was her younger sister, Kimberly Gouveia. Bridesmaids included: her best friend, Meredith Robertson; her cousin, Lauren Kirby; and close friends: Meagan McKenna and Arlynn Sturdivant.

The bridesmaids all wore elegant black velvet off-the-shoulder gowns with dark red fur stoles.

Serving as Best Man was the grooms best friend, John Byork, Jr. Groomsmen included: Brandys younger brother, Kevin Parratt, and Brandys brother-in-law, Troy Gouveia, and Chriss friends: Chris Sturdivant and Tim McKenna.

The men all wore black suits with dark red ties. Honorary guests, Mr. & Mrs. John Byork, Sr., stood in for Chriss parents.

Brandy is a graduate of Foster High School in Richmond, Texas. She attended University of Houston and graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.

After college, she briefly worked in the FBISD school system, then at Holy Rosary Catholic School for the next 2 years.

Brandy then went to work for Shady Oak Primary School in Richmond, TX where she is now Assistant Head of School.

Chris is a graduate of J. M. Tate High School in Cantonment, Florida. After high school he joined the Navy where he navigated nuclear-powered submarines and also spent time as a recruiter. Chris was awarded many medals and achieved the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer and retired after twenty years of service.

Upon retiring from the Navy, Chris began a second career as head of the Tour Department for the Houston Astros.

Following their honeymoon in Key Largo, the couple will reside in Richmond, Texas.
