[Update] When is Claes Bang Returning with Dracula Season 2 Release Date, Plot Details and Theories – Gizmo Blaze

Fans might be waiting to sink their teeth into Season 2 of Dracula but there is no official update yet on whether Dracula will be resurrected for more episodes following the shows first season. However, Mark Gatiss has hinted that his version of Dracula could still creep back onto our screens one day and fans keep wondering what will be the future of this immortal bloodsucker.

The first season ran for three episodes on BBC and we can assume season 2 will not be released before 2021. We do know that the Count takes his own time to wake up.

Sherlock creators Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat scripted the series, which draws heavily from Bram Stokers seminal 1897 vampire story, while Danish actor Claes Bang plays the role of the villainous Count Dracula, following in the footsteps of famous on-screen bloodsuckers like Bela Lugosi, Christopher Lee and Gary Oldman.

The final episode showed Dracula confronting his weakness which is death when he is being convinced by sister Agatha. And he decides to end it all by drinking the poisoned cancerous blood of Zoe and willingly ends both their lives in a fiery but romantic way.

While it is presumed that both of them dies we never actually saw them dying. If the BBC does decide to commission a second season, then either or perhaps both of them could return, born anew somehow.

If so, then Dracula would be stronger than ever, no longer affected by the supposed weaknesses he believed to be true. The writers might delve into the Counts past as well and unravel his mysteries.

Without any supernatural intervention, we will not know how the show will move forward if at all it moves. However, if it does we will be the first ones to let you know in the meanwhile enjoy Season 1 in Netflix.
