Happy Halloween season! Its once again the most wonderful time of the year, with the end of summer this week marking the start of spooky season. And it should surprise no one that horror has planned accordingly; this fall brings a densely packed lineup of genre offerings.
Fall is peak horror season, of course, and 2022s release slate ensures that no Halloween horror watchlists will go unfilled this year. This is only the tip of the iceberg for whats coming over the next few months, so keep your eyes peeled for updates and more in the coming weeks.

Barbarian September 9 (Theaters)
Written and directed by Zach Cregger,Barbariansees a womans rental nightmare come true when she finds its been double booked. Despite her worries, she decides to stay the night. But the stranger might be the least of her fears.
Margaux September 9 (VOD)
Director Steven C. Miller (Silent Night, First Kill, Escape Plan 2) is headed back to the horror genre. A smart houses AI system develops a mind of her own and transforms a weekend of partying into a lethal nightmare for its new tenants.
Speak No Evil September 15 (Shudder)
A Danish family visits a Dutch family they met on holiday. They try to maintain politeness as the weekend becomes more and more uncomfortable.
Goodnight Mommy September 16 (Prime Video)
A remake of Veronika Franz and Severin Fialas 2014 horror movie. Twin brothers dont recognize their mothers bandaged face when they arrive at her country home. Erratic behavior soon convinces them that shes not even their mother at all.
Pearl September 16 (Theaters)
Mia Goth reprises her role as Pearl in this prequel to Ti WestsX. See Pearl as a farm girl with star ambition and a murderous short fuse in her youth.
When the Screaming Starts September 20 (Screambox)
An aspiring documentary filmmaker thinks hes finally found the perfect subject with aspiring serial killer Aidan Mendle. But as Aidan and his newly recruited murder cult embark on a blood-soaked rampage, Normans dream of becoming a renowned documentary filmmaker becomes a nightmare.
Dont Worry Darling September 23 (Theaters)
Florence Pugh stars as a 1950s housewife living with her husband in a utopian experimental community. When cracks begin to show in the idyllic perfection, she suspects something far more sinister is afoot.

My Best Friends Exorcism September 30 (Prime Video)
This 80s set adaptation of Grady Hendrixs novel sees two best friends turned against each other when one starts behaving cruelly. The other soon suspects that demonic possession may be to blame.
Hocus Pocus 2 September 30 (Disney+)
The Sanderson Sisters are back, and they want revenge. Its up to a trio of high school students to stop them on All Hallows Eve.
Smile September 30 (Theaters)
Dr. Rose Cotter begins experiencing horrifying occurrences after witnessing a traumatic event at work. Eerie smiles follow her everywhere.
Deadstream October 6 (Shudder)
A disgraced and demonetized Internet personality tries to win back his followers and sponsors with a Livestream event that sees him spending the night in a haunted house. What could go wrong? Everything.
Terrifier 2 October 6 (Theaters)
Art the Clown is back! This time he targets a teenage girl and her younger brother on Halloween night. Its going to be insanely violent and messy, and its coming to theaters not rated by the MPA! from Bloody Disgusting, Cinedigm and SCREAMBOX.
Hellraiser October 7 (Hulu)
David Bruckner has such sights to show us with this new spin on Clive Barkers classic. A young woman must confront the sadistic, supernatural forces behind an enigmatic puzzle box responsible for her brothers disappearance. Jamie Clayton stars as the Hell Priest.
The Visitor October 7 (Digital and VOD)
When Robert and his wife Maia move to her childhood home, he discovers an old portrait of his likeness in the attic a man referred to only as The Visitor. After what begins as dinner with a client, a single mom (Ella Balinska) finds herself hunted by a monstrous and seemingly unstoppable assailant (Pilou Asbk) in this terrifying thriller.
Wendell & Wild October (Netflix)

A young couple travels to a remote island for a luxurious culinary experience, only to discover something far more bizarre on the menu.
Bones and All November 23 (Theaters)
Luca Guadagninos (Suspiria) next film is an adaptation of Camille DeAngeliss novel. Timothe ChalametandTaylor Russell(Escape Room) star as young loners embarking on a road trip. Its a cannibal love story.
Nanny November 23 (Prime Video)
Anna Diop (Us) stars as a Senegalese immigrant nanny working for a privileged couple in NYC. As she prepares for the arrival of the son she left behind in West Africa, a violent presence invades her reality, threatening the American Dream she is painstakingly piecing together.
