Zo Kravitz Cast in Superpowered Heist Thriller Feature – The Nerd Stash

Coming off of working with Warner Bros. on Matt ReevesThe Batman, Zo Kravitz has been cast in an upcoming superpowered heist thriller feature for the studio titledThe Sundance Kid Might Have Some Regrets. She will also produce the film with Matt Jackson and executive producer Joanne Lee.The Hollywood Reporter initially reported this story.

The film is an adaptation of a short story of the same name by Leyna Krow. It follows twin bank robbers with one of them, Maggie, having superpowers with telekinesis, superstrength, language fluency, invincibility, and more. However, life for her sister starts to shift as a job goes wrong, making her question the dangerous criminal path they have been living.

No director, other cast members, or writer have been attached for the Zo Kravitz heist thriller.

The two other producers are known for working with Aaron Sorkin. Lee and Jackson both produced the Jessica Chastain-led Mollys Game. Jackson also produced The Trial of the Chicago 7, which was nominated for six Academy Awards, winning none. The two most recently produced the Amazon thriller All the Old Knives, starring Chris Pine, Laurence Fishburne, and Thandiwe Newton (Westworld).

Producing the heist thriller by Krow is a relatively new venture for Zo Kravitz. The actress was an executive producer on her Hulu comedy that she led, High Fidelity. She is in pre-production to make her directorial debut, which she will also produce and write titledPussy Island. It is co-written byHigh Fidelityscribe E.T. Feigenbaum. So far, it has been announced that Channing Tatum, Simon Rex (Scary Movie V), and Naomi Ackie (The End of the F***ing World).

The actress is known for her roles inThe Batman,Big Little Lies,Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, andMad Max: Fury Road. Earlier in the year, she starred in the HBO Max movieKimiby director Steven Soderbergh (Magic Mike).
