Entitled The Walking Dead: World Beyond, the Amazon show will focus on the first generation of survivors to grow-up in the post-outbreak world.

The show is expected to launch on the platform in spring 2020 and will star actors like Julia Ormond and Annet Mahendru.

As well as this, there are currently three The Walking Dead films in development from AMC, which will focus on Rick Grimes (played by Andrew Lincoln).

Viewers will remember how the character exited the show in November 2018 and these new films will follow his story from this point onwards.

There has been no announcement yet on when the films will be released but it seems there is plenty more of The Walking Dead universe on its way.

The Walking Dead returns to AMC on February 20.
