THE WALKING DEAD: WORLD BEYOND Will Only Run 2 Seasons?

The newThe Walking Deadspin-offThe Walking Dead: World Beyondpremieres Sunday, April 12 at 10 PM with subsequent episodes airing Sunday nights at 9 PM.

And today we learned the spin-off will only run two seasons. Oh, and it has been teased to connect to the upcoming Rick Grimes movie. Well let you know when we hear more!

The series is set ten years after the apocalypse and features two young female protagonists. It focuses on the first generation to come-of-age in the apocalypse as we know it. Some will become heroes. Some will become villains. In the end, all of them will be changed forever. Grown-up and cemented in their identities, both good and bad.

Alexa Mansour stars as Hope with Nicolas Cantu as Elton, Hal Cumpston as Silas, Aliyah Royale as Iris, Annet Mahendru as Huck, Nico Tortorella as Felix, Julia Ormond as Elizabeth, Joe Holt as Leo Bennet, Natalie Gold as Lyla, Al Calderon as Barca, and Ted Sutherland as Percy.

The Walking Dead: World Beyondis created by Scott M. Gimple and Matthew Negrete based on The Walking Dead by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore, and Charlie Adlard. Scott M. Gimple serves as the new shows executive producer along with Matthew Negrete, Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, David Alpert, and Brian Bockrath.
