The Walking Dead has shared a first look at Michonne in season 10b ahead of Danai Gurira's exit.

As she confirmed at Comic-Con International last year, Gurira will be stepping away from the zombie series, marking the end of Michonne's time on the main Walking Dead show.

Now, TVLine has revealed a dramatic image from the mid-season premiere, which could be part of the character's exit storyline.

The last time we saw Michonne, she agreed to sail with Virgil (Kevin Carroll) to his home in exchange for bringing back weapons which could help in defeating Alpha and the Whisperers.

Of course, the chance of her plan going smoothly without any issues is highly unlikely but whether this will lead to her death remains to be seen.

However, with the loss of one major star may come the return of another, as some fans have speculated that there could be something at Virgil's home that confirms Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) is still alive.

So don't rule out a Michonne appearance in that Rick movie trilogy just yet...
