Its that time of year again when the world is enamored by the NFL. The Super Bowl is almost here and the Kansas City Chiefs are set to take on the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, Jan 2. It will be one of the most talked-about and watched events of the yearbut what part of The Walking Dead would The Big Game relate to the most.

For casual fans, the season finales have to be considered the AMC version of the Super Bowl. The entire season leads up to a big episode that tells a story and leaves fans satisfied until the next seasons worth of story comes along. It seems like an obvious choice to be considered on-par with the Super Bowl until taking a look at another part of the popular zombie drama series.

The season premieres of The Walking Dead should be considered the biggest event of the year. Sure, there isnt the amount of story being finished, but it also doesnt signal the entire end of a 16-episode arc.

Instead, the season premieres should be a highly celebrated time of the year for fans. After a massively long wait, finally sinking your teeth into a new installment of the popular AMC show is one of the most rewarding things for anyone who endured such a long period of time without new content.

This may change for the next two years as World Beyond and Fear the Walking Dead will help to make the break more manageable. Bur, for now, premieres should be considered the most exciting time of the year for fans of The Walking Dead.
