Morbius: Jared Letos vampire film may setup Blade in the MCU – Hidden Remote

Sonys Marvel Universe is expanding as Morbius is expected to hit theaters later this summer. This will be the second film in Sonys Marvel Universe, which comes after the success of 2018s Venom. Unlike Venom, the teaser trailer for Morbius establishes a more prominent connection to the MCU.

During the trailer, there is a picture of Spider-Man graffitid on the wall with the word murderer painted over it, which suggests this film takes place after the events of Spider-Man: Far From Home. The MCU connections do not stop there, as Michael Keatons Adrian Toomes a.k.a Vulture makes a cameo and says, Michael Morbius, got tired of doing the whole good-guy thing, huh? Whats up, doc? towards the end of the trailer.

The small cameo plus the news that Sony and Marvel reached a deal regarding the web-slingers fatemakes Morbius and his connection to the MCU even more interesting. If it turns out hes connected then he would be the first vampire the MCU has seen.

This past summer at San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios head honcho Kevin Feige announced that Blade will be getting a reboot and debuting in the MCU, starring Mahershala Ali as the titular character. Could we see Blade make a cameo or be hinted it at during Morbius?

In the comics, Blade and Morbius do have history with each other. And similar to how the end ofVenomsets up Carnage, it would be a perfect way for Marvel to establish its vampire slayer in the film about The Living Vampire.

More than likely, there will be some kind of Easter egg or loose mention of Blade that eagle-eyed watchers will pickup on upon the films release. IfMorbiusproves to be a success and Sony and Marvel stay on good terms then we might see the Daywalker and the Living Vampire share the same screen in the near future.
