Return of the vampire: Much-loved stage show returns to Melbourne – 9News

A stalwart and favourite of Melbourne's restaurant and theatre scene is returning to the stage once more.

Draculas, the former cabaret show is back for The Resurrection Tour kicking off tonight.

The stage show will be all new and vampy as ever.

James Smart plays the male lead, Onyx, and says audience members should be wary.

"He gets on stage, he sings he likes to feast on the audience sometimes as well," he told Allan Raskall.

The leading lady of the show is Clara Fable who plays Viper.

She sports a potentially challenging mouthpiece in a set of fangs, but the performer says they don't impact her performance.

"It's a lot of practice but practice makes perfect," Ms Fable said.

But now, the show has returned to the joy of its owners.

"There's so much legacy to the brand, so many have been to Draculas and know what its about, and this show takes that legacy and adds some extra flair to it," Luke Newman said.
