Vampires and other Horrors Moving Into ESO’s Skyrim – GameIndustry.com

Today, in front of a live audience of ESO players and fans at the HyperX Esports Arena in Las Vegas and on Twitch, ZeniMax Online Studios took the wraps off their 2020 plans for the award-winning online RPG The Elder Scrolls Online. Theres a lot to unpack here so stick with me, but here are the highlights:

SKYRIM LIKE YOUVE NEVER SEEN BEFORE: 2020s Chapter, Greymoor, is set to launch in May and June and brings new zones to ESO: Western Skyrim, the frozen homeland of the Nords, and the long-forgotten Blackreach cavernexpanded from what players originally explored in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrimto fight sinister monsters while unlocking the secret of the Dark Heart of Skyrim.

A NEW YEAR-LONG ADVENTURE AWAITS: The Dark Heart of Skyrim is a year-long interconnected adventure spanning four updates in 2020: the prologue quest (free to all players) and Harrowstorm DLC dungeon pack, the Greymoor Chapter, the Q3 DLC dungeon pack, and the Q4 Story DLC. While this is one of The Elder Scrolls darkest stories yet, there are still heroes that spark hope: returning from the base game are Lyris Titanborn and House Ravenwatch who will take the fight to those that stalk the night.

NEW WORLD EVENTS AND GAMEPLAY SYSTEMS: The Greymoor Chapter brings new world events and gameplay systems. Group up with fellow players to quell the magical Harrowstorms terrorizing the land. Additionally, players will travel beyond Western Skyrim and across Tamriel to recover lost artifacts with the new Antiquities system; scry the location of ancient relics and excavate them to uncover Tamriels hidden history and unlock powerful and fun rewards for all types of players!

The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor will release for PC and Mac on May 18, and Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on June 2.
