Curate on the move – Newark Advertiser

The assistant curate at Newark Parish Church, the Rev Christopher Lee, is to become the vicar of St John with St Mary, Mansfield.

Mr Lee started work serving in Newark and Coddington in August 2017.

He grew up in the Midlands, the son of a vicar, and trained as a primary school teacher. He taught in Kent before becoming a childrens worker at St Michael le Belfrey, York.

His licensing will take place on March 30, at St Johns. The service will be taken by the Bishop of Southwell, the Right Rev Paul Williams.

The Rev Zoe Burton, at present priest-in-charge of Ollerton, Boughton, Kneesall, Laxton, Wellow, Egmanton, Kirton, Walesby and Bilsthorpe, is to be vicar of the united benefice of St Mary, Blidworth and St Simon and St Jude, Rainworth. She will be licensed in June by the Bishop of Southwell.
