'Would always say something to make you laugh,' friend said

A vigil was held for one of two men killed in a shootout at a Jackson gas station.It happened Sunday at the Jasco on Woodrow Wilson Avenue.Christopher Lee, 28, and Justin Partee, 33, were both seen on surveillance video firing shots at each other inside the store. Both men died.Tuesday, people lit candles and released balloons to remember Lee. People from the Georgetown community called him Buddy."We knew him when he was a little bitty boy, and he used to stay at my daughter's house, and we call him 'Buddy Rowe.' He was the sweetest guy, always got something to say to make you laugh, you know, and it's such a tragedy," said Janice Fields, a former friend of the victim.Jackson police said drugs and guns were found at the scene of the shooting.Jackson has had 17 homicides so far this year.
