Star Wars Battlefront 2: 10 Hero Skins We Need | TheGamer – TheGamer

It would be no understatement to claim that Star Wars Battlefront II is a drastically different game from when it first released. Upon hitting shelves in 2017, it was met with a huge backlash from fans, much of which centered around the game's lootbox system. However, the team over at EA and Dice have spent the last two years creating a hugely immersive experience and, much like Anakin Skywalker and Ben Solo, completed their redemption.

One of the most popular things within the game is the skins and appearances that heroes, villains, and troopers can wear. We now take a look at 10 hero skins we feel would be great to equip.

For a long time, Luke Skywalker had just two skins. His standard black appearance from Return of the Jedi and the outfit he wears on Hoth during The Empire Strikes Back. Over the last few months, however, we've been able to put Mark Hamill's character in his Yavin IV outfitas well as the classic farmboy appearance he sported during A New Hope.

But, despite that, there's still a couple more we'd like to see starting with Endor Luke. He could wear a helmet and have a poncho, just like did when he and his friends were captured by the Ewok. It would also give us another chance to play with his green lightsaber, especially as only his Return of the Jedi look enables that at present.

We said we'd like more of Luke and, while Endor would be popular for fans, they'd also like to see him sporting the same appearance as when he fought Darth Vader on the planet of Bespin during The Empire Strikes Back.

It's an iconic look for the character, after all, and would enable you to recreate the same battle against Vader in the game. Many fans actually wanted this instead of Yavin Luke but, now we've got his slick yellow jacket, we can't have too many complaints.

Chewbacca is a tough character to give skins too given that, for the most part, he looks the same. And while we got a new appearance for everybody's favorite Wookie during Solo season, we still believe there's one more he should be given.

We are, of course, referring to when he carries a dismantled C-3PO on his back. The iconic Star Wars droid isn't ever going to be in the game as a playable character and it would be the closest thing we get to playing as him. It would also be extremely fun watching Chewie blast enemy forces all while having C-3PO's amusingly irritating voice exclaiming behind him.

There are already a number of skins you can sport as Leia Organa. There's her classic appearance from the campaign but also Endor Leia, Hoth Leia, Princess Leia and Boushh Leia.

But it'd be awesome to see her blasting stormtroopers and enemy heroes wearing the elegant dress she wore during the final act of The Empire Strikes Back. It would give us a new hairstyle which is always welcome and make Bespin feel that bit more authentic as a result. It's a small map in the game at present but we're hoping that, further down the line, we get much more stuff related to Cloud City.

Han Solo, like Leia Organa, is a character with plenty of customizable options at present. And, while we were delighted tofinally get his A New Hope appearance towards the tail end of 2019, that doesn't mean that EA and Dice should stop there.

It would be brilliant to be able to play as Han wearing the same stormtrooper outfit he obtains during A New Hope. That way, the Death Star feels all the more immersive and it would certainly be something different from what we've seen before. A close second would be his Carbon Freezing outfit but, given he's frozen solid while wearing it for the most part, we'd prefer Han to rock his Imperial look instead.

Don't worry, we've not forgotten about the prequels! Despite only being added to the game early into 2019, the developers at EA and Dice have done a superb job at giving us three separate skins each for both Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi. But, what with us being fans, we're bound to want more.

And with the planets of Geonosis and Kamino being in the game, it would make sense to give Kenobi the same appearance as Ewan McGregor's character in Attack of the Clones. This would really add to the Star Wars feelof the game and would allow you to recreate the exact same battles that take place within that blockbuster. As for Anakin...

While we acknowledge that Anakin Skywalker with his hood up and yellow Sith eyes would look a little out of place on the hero roster, that shouldn't matter too much. After all, they already have his classic appearance from Revenge of the Sith, the same one he sports when he's already Darth Vader and fights Obi-Wan Kenobi on the lava planet of Mustafar.

To give us Anakin in full Sith mode would be absolutely insane to play as! They'd probably have to add Mustafar itself at some point to really justify it but it would allow us to step into the Jedi Knight's boots and attack enemies with the same rage and fire as in the movie itself. One can dream...

We were delighted to get another new Finn skin with The Rise of Skywalker DLC, which allows us to play as John Boyega's character as if we're in the actual movie itself. But we can't help but feel his First Order officer disguise appearance would go down a storm with fans as well.

The Last Jedi season seemed to relatively pass EA and Dice by. Sure, we got the characters of Finn and Captain Phasma as well as skins for Kylo Ren and Rey but that was your lot. We're hoping the teams choose to revisit the second movie of the trilogy, despite the fact it appeared to split the fandom in two.

Some have insisted that sequel trilogy versions of Han Solo, Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa shouldn't be in the game because it's not 'realistic'. Hello? Count Dooku is able to slice through enemy forces with ease, despite Christopher Lee being 80 at the time Attack of the Clones came out, and 83 when Revenge of the Sith released three years later.

So top our list is veteran Han Solo. Despite Harrison Ford not being as young as he was when the original trilogy came out, Han is in the thick of the action during The Force Awakens. He takes place in the fight against the Guarvian Death Gang and also obliterates many stormtroopers during the epic fight on Takodana. So EA, make it happen!

We would have had veteran Leia on this list but, given she spends most of The Last Jedi in a coma, it would make far more sense to create veteran Luke instead.

That way, you can recreate Luke's epic scenes on Crait from the movie - although we'd advise you against killing yourself like Mark Hamill's character. You could also recreate the showdown between Luke and Kylo Ren, this time physically fighting rather than force projecting yourself. Unless there's some MOD or cheat we don't know about...
