Dark Days: Zombie Survival tips to help you in the apocalypse – Pocket Gamer

Feel free to use melee weapons often

With Dark Days being the survival game that it is, you can imagine that your supplies will be limited at times, and that includes bullets. If you have the materials, then you can create some sweet melee weapons. You'll get an ax in the beginning so you'll have one early.

Feel free to whack some enemies with your new toy. Use them and try and save your bullets. However, if you do have a comfortable amount of bullets, then you could fire them if you wish. But, it's always good to save them and just use your melee weapon which will deal some solid damage.

Now, if you find yourself in a position where there are several zombies around you, then you should definitely pull out the heat and fire the led. Mix it up if you need to. Shoot a little, hack a little if you're dealing with a group. No matter the situation, just know that your melee weapon is always there for you, by your side.

Surviving is more than just destroying zombies with weapons. It's about protecting yourself from them too. The best way to do this is by gathering materials and creating items. Like we mentioned before, you could build some good melee weapons when you need them.

You can also build shelters to keep yourself safe. In order to start creating, all you need to do is chop down some trees with your ax and gather the wood. You'll sometimes see some branches lying around on the ground too.

Stone will be available for you too, to give yourself some sturdier options. Just make sure you have enough space in your inventory to carry your materials. You may need to drop a couple of items if you're full. You'll eventually be able to expand your inventory, but in the meantime, you can add the goods by clearing some space. So go ahead and dream it, then build it.

The robot that you use in the game can be a lifesaver. With its deadly turrets, it can take down almost any foe with ease. Make sure you have some bullets in it for when it's time to take down the next boss. When you start at the home base, there should be some ammo in a mailbox for you.

This should give you a steady amount to work with until you find more. You won't need to use your robot all of the time, so you don't have to worry about eating up the bullets too quickly. Your best bet to use it is when you're faced with a larger enemy.

from there, you shouldn't have much issue with them if you just keep your distance. Back up and keep firing. The nice thing is that shots are fired automatically just by aiming at an enemy. So your robot can be your friend in Dark Days: Zombie Survival so take care of it the best you can.

This is something we kind of elaborated on earlier, but it's highly important to watch your inventory. When starting out, the amount of times you can hold is limited. This includes clothing, food, water, and building materials.

With all of these things that you can carry, it gets real easy to run out of inventory space. You can eventually grow your inventory, but at the moment you're stuck with what you have. When you first look into your backpack, you'll think it seems like a fair amount of space.

Well, in reality, it's not, and as mentioned, with all of the things you can grab, that space will get used up in a hurry. It may be a good idea to always have at least one or two slots open for when you're gathering materials. Once you use them, then they will be eliminated from your inventory anyway. But, if it's full, then you won't be able to get the materials needed to build shelters, weapons, etc. So if you can, try to keep a slot or two open.
