In this entry, a multiplayer map has been repurposed to act as a new open world. Instead of rounds, players are given specific objectives that they need to complete while fighting an onslaught of zombies. Players also have a bit more freedom, allowing them to go anywhere and even ride snowmobiles to get around. Flawless Aetherium Crystals can be collected in this game mode similar to the regular zombie mode but unlocking them is a different process. This guide will show players how they can obtain them inCOD: Zombies Outbreak.

In the regular zombie mode, players were rewarded with Raw Aetherium Crystals after making it 10 rounds. Players can also earn another if they are able to properly extract themselves from the map. These items can be used to upgrade your field upgrades to make them more useful on other attempts. Players also have the option to upgrade tons of different skills like the Frenzied Guard, Frost Blast, and Energy Mine. Outbreak allows players to collect these as well so here is how players can obtain them.

Flawless Aetherium Crystals are needed to get Tier V upgrades for your skills and are much harder to collect. To obtain them in Outbreak, the player will need to complete the objective and warp to the next location. Warping to the next location will provide players with new objectives to complete but will also raise the difficulty. After this is done, the player will then need to exfil out of the map successfully to claim the Flawless Aetherium Crystals.

From experience, the best way to go about Outbreak is to play with friends. This allows for solid communication and makes it much easier to get to later parts. Since there aren't rounds, players can go at their own pace but it's important to call it quits when things are getting too hairy. Learning to leave will reward the player much more than casual stubbornness. There's always that one friend who wants to stick around and see how long they survive.
