‘Red Dead Redemption 2’ to Receive New Update For Halloween Involving Zombies? – Bloody Disgusting

Red Dead Redemption 2 scored great acclaim when it finally released back in 2018, while the online component has sadly been lacking. But, according to recent leaks, Rockstar may be redeeming themselves in the form of a new update that will see zombies make their return to the series, just in time for Halloween.

YouTube channel Red Dead Guides did some digging in the games files, and has discovered 48 zombie character models (29 male zombie variants and 19 female variants) that are purportedly linked to a limited-time Halloween event. Along with that, the video shares some of the audio files linked to a game mode titled fear of us, which had been discovered by Twitter user MuzTuber back in July.

Its not clear as to when exactly the update will hit, nor how long it will last if its a time-limited event, or if its an entirely new mode. Nevertheless, if it approaches the greatness that was 2010s Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare, then itll be worth the wait.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
