Grown and hatched, the larva seizes the Central nervous system of the carrier and causes it to weave a special type of web in the form of cocoon. The larva hides in a new home, they pupate and after the rebirth into the adult eats the spider.View Acrotaphus very interesting science, but it is a complicated way to manipulate the victim. Such a phenomenon is rare in nature, therefore, we consider parasitic wasps exciting from the point of view of the evolution of the creatures, explained the author Ilari E. Saaksjarvi.Until now, scientists knew of about 11 species of parasitic wasps. Now the list is expanded to four. All zombie insects live in the Amazon and the Andes.
