The Office’s Dunder Mifflin is Recreated in The Last of Us Part 1 Remake – Esquire

Thanks to an easter egg in the remake of The Last of Us Part 1, a Hall-of-Fame-level game about the zombie apocalypse, The Office fans were given a little update as to what happened to everyones favorite paper company. Spoiler: the news isnt too great for Michael, Dwight, Jim, and Creed, however, as the building is both boarded up and abandoned. Oh no!

Discovered by TikTok user rxelei, the viral video shows an abandoned building that has to be Dunder Mifflin. There's no mistaking it. Michael Scotts office, Pams reception desk, and even the lobbys black couch have been perfectly recreated. This section of The Last Of Us is even set in Pennsylvania, though it takes place around a six-hour drive away in Pittsburgh, not Scranton. Other aspects of the office, such as the conference room and the location of Dwights desk, also seem to be intact. Many of the other desks have been propped up to bar the entrances from approaching monsters, and theres even a stain on the floor right where Kevins famous chili incident occurred. You can check it out in the video below.

The Office fans may be shocked to learn, however, that the fate of Dunder Mifflins employees is left largely unknown. Were they taken, or were they able to escape with their lives?! There's also a The Last of Us television series currently in development at HBO. Is a live-action crossover in the works? Neither the The Office cast nor Naughty Dogthe studio behind The Last of Ushave commented on the recent findings, but I know theres a video game developer out there just dying to hear that someone discovered their loving recreation. Seriously, thoughyoure telling me that Dwight, with all his survival skills, couldnt handle the real end of the world? He's the kind of guy who keeps "various weaponry strategically placed around the office" just for contingency plans like this. We need answers!
